Building Culture of Remembrance 2025/2026
Building Cultures of Remembrance (BCOR) is a reciprocal, transatlantic exchange program for professionals interested in the relationship between remembrance work and corporate responsibility in Germany and the United States.

The Finkelstein Foundation supports the Cultural Vistas program for two years together with funds from the Transatlantic Program of the Federal Republic of Germany, which in turn comes from the European Recovery Program (ERP) of the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy.
Each program year consists of a professional exchange focused on Germany or the USA. Participants engage in study trips both in the host country and in their own country to gain a comprehensive understanding of the transatlantic dimensions of the respective topic.
In the professional exchange for 2025/2026, the focus will be on the areas of memory work and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). Together, we will engage with corporate responsibility for social cohesion, critically examine the significance of addressing corporate histories, and discuss lessons for corporate and societal actions in the present that arise from engaging with historical pasts.
Corporate representatives with a professional interest in memory work are invited to apply, as well as memory practitioners from civil society and academia who have a professional interest in cooperation with companies in the field of memory and engagement. Together, we will explore possibilities and approaches to learn from history and take action in the here and now.
The study trip to the USA will take place from November 2 to November 9, 2025, in Atlanta, Georgia, and Montgomery, Alabama.
The study trip in Germany is scheduled for March 22 to March 29, 2026 (TBC). Exact dates and locations will be announced shortly.
Applications for the BCOR Program 2025/2026 will be accepted from July 21 to September 7, 2025. All information about the program and the application form can be found Here.
