Leaders for Democracy – Remembering. Shaping. Strengthening companies.
Strengthening democracy for value-based leadership.
In partnership with the non-profit Hertie Foundation, the Finkelstein Foundation has set up a training program called “Leaders for Democracy: Remembering. Shaping. Strengthening companies.” It is aimed at young leaders who want to take on democratic and historical responsibility in their company and in society.
This program is being set up against the background of increasing polarization and ever stronger extremist opinions and forces – developments that go hand in hand with anti-democratic tendencies and social division. The consequences of these developments are now being seen in companies, too.
This is where the program comes in, focusing on issues such as ethics in leadership, historical responsibility, and action against discrimination. With its key emphasis on strengthening democratic values and boosting resilience in the face of antisemitism, racism and all forms of hatred, the program epitomizes the implementation of one of the three pillars of the Finkelstein Foundation.
Between February and June 2025, our aim will be to work out what sociopolitical responsibility you have and how you can use this to good effect. In workshops and communication training sessions, we will focus on topics such as adaptive leadership, antisemitism, racism and historical responsibility. You will also have the opportunity to network with other young, motivated leaders and to learn both with and from one another.
