Workshops on the contemporary relevance of remembering Nazi injustice and resistance
The Berghof Foundation enables multimedia learning about resistance during the Nazi era and resilience against group-based hatred today.
Eighty years after the end of the Second World War, the Berghof Foundation's 'ErinnerungsZeit' project provides young people with a contemporary approach to dealing with the significance of remembering Nazi injustice and resistance.
At the heart of the project lies the animated, interactive visual novel 'ErinnerungsZeit', designed to promote empowerment and resilience in the face of group-based hatred.
This free app is suitable for both school and extracurricular education. The project was funded by the Foundation Remembrance, Responsibility and Future. In 2025, the Finkelstein Foundation supports the implementation of the project, the organisation of initial workshops, and its publicity.
Alongside the app, educational workshops are offered to young people aged 14 and over. These deepen the content of ErinnerungsZeit and are conducted by qualified peer trainers. They can be delivered as a 3-hour short version or a 5-hour long version. These formats can be flexibly adapted to the specific needs of the target groups and respective framework conditions.
Free online workshops for teachers and multipliers have been organised to introduce the project and its potential applications in educational settings. The workshops will be held on:
Tuesday 30 September 2025 from 16:00 to 18:00
Tuesday 4 November 2025 from 14:30 to 16:30
Tuesday 13 January 2026 from 16:00 to 18:00.
